Introduction
This inventory feature is available as soon as you enable the Stock Module.
You are able to
- Initiate a new Inventory
- Make the inventory
- Validate it to record all stock corrections
Usage
Here’s a detailed guide on how to find and use the inventory management feature in SolutionsInc:
Accessing the Inventory Module
Navigate to Products | Services:
- Click on the “Products | Services” option in the top menu.
Open Inventories List:
- Click on “Inventories” in the left-hand menu to access the list of inventories.
Initializing a New Inventory
Create a New Inventory:
- In the Products | Services tab, find and click on the plus sign (+) located at the top right corner of the screen to initialize a new inventory.
Requirements for Creating an Inventory:
- The only required field is a reference. All other fields are optional.
- You can choose to create an inventory for a specific warehouse, a specific product, or a complete inventory.
Finalizing Initialization:
- After filling in the required details, click on the “Create” button to initialize your inventory.
Making the Inventory
Starting the Inventory:
- Click on the “Validate (start)” button to begin the inventory process.
Switch to Inventory Tab:
- Navigate to the “Inventory” tab located at the top, next to the “Card” tab.
- The inventory will be initialized with all relevant products, warehouses, and their respective quantities.
Entering Real Quantities:
- You can now enter the actual quantities in the “Real Qty” column for each product.
- There are multiple ways to enter these quantities:
- Barcode Scanning: Scan items with a barcode scanner.
- Expected Quantities: Fill in quantities based on expected counts.
- Manual Entry: If you discover a new product not included in the inventory initialization, you can manually add a new line.
Saving Changes:
- Don’t forget to click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page to ensure all your entered data is stored.
Finishing the Inventory
Record Stock Movements:
- To finalize the inventory and record any stock movements based on the quantities you entered, click the “Generate movements and close” button.
Closing the Inventory:
- After clicking this button, your inventory will be finalized, and all stock modifications will be applied based on the quantities you recorded.
